I tried to sell my own oceanfront villa on Deerfield Beach for a number of years to no avail. In Jan. 2015, I listed my villa with Karen Evans. When Linda and I decided to downsize and sell our home in the Arbors that we had built 20 years ago we felt compelled to discuss our decision with several of our neighbors. Most of them had also lived in the Arbors as long as we had.
A few local realtors were regularly listing and selling some homes in the Arbors but not having dealt with a realtor in more than 20 years we were a little apprehensive. Fortunately, one of our Arbors neighbors had recently sold his home. He was both pleased with the efforts of this realtor, Sandra Sorge, and the price he got for his house. He and I had discussed that most of the recently sold homes in the Arbors had been undersold by some other realtors.
Thus, Linda and I requested Sandra Sorge to meet with us to discuss the prospect of listing our home. Linda and I had not met Sandra Sorge before and when she arrived, Sandra did not match any of our preconceived notions of the typical realtor.
First, Linda and I agreed, that Sandra Sorge was tall, thin, beautiful, was married, and had three boys in school… so how could she also be a very successful realtor?
We soon found that Sandra was really serious about selling real estate and that she very successfully combined that with her family life. Sandra was actively selling homes in Palm Beach County and we listed our home in Hobe Sound with her for a very good price.
Even during hurricane season, Sandra frequently showed our house and hosted other realtors and prospective buyers, and we soon accepted an offer that was just slightly less than the listing price. Sandra had found buyers who knew the value of homes in the Arbors and their offer was extremely fair. So we were very pleased.
We note that at the same time, some of the homes in the Arbors that were listed with other realtors for lesser prices are still for sale. When Sandra Sorge says she will sell your home, she is committed to selling your home, and you will be pleased with the results.
Sandra, then helped us find the newly built home in Jensen Beach that we purchased and just moved into. We live overseas, and were staying in Seabrook for a long weekend. We dropped into the Golden Bear office by chance, and were introduced to Lee... he listened to our requirements, and took us immediately to visit two fabulous properties literally before we flew back home. We knew nothing about buying a house in the US, and Lee made himself available, by phone, text and email, at all times, in order to help us navigate the challenges of being a foreign buyer. In addition, he gave us advice on legal, tax, the local club, insurance, banking etc etc. In the end, we were successful with our offer, and Lee's advice was crucial in getting a good deal for us, including all furniture so that the property went immediately into the rental pool. Without asking, Lee sent a video for us to be able to catalogue the furniture within the property . In addition to helping us with the close, he also helped get us connected with the Seabrook Club, POA, etc etc so that we wouldn't miss out on any activities. Just before we took possession, Lee's role was not done. He went over to the property whilst it was being cleaned prior to our arrival to make sure it was in good shape. The Urban myth is that he was putting sheets on one of the beds... We have bought a number of houses before, and Lee was an outstanding realtor. He is incredibly responsive, hardworking, honest and diligent. I would highly recommend Lee to anyone else considering needing a realtor in the area.
